The first time I met Cori and Matt, he was a groomsman at another wedding I was photographing. I vividly remember Cori that day because she was busy running around having a blast snapping photos of all of her friends. Because of this enthusiasm for photography, I instantly liked her! When I got a call a few months later asking if I would shoot their big day, I was thrilled. When we connected again for their engagement session, they began to fill me in on all the wedding details. I learned that Loki, their adorable dog, was going to be the “dog of honor” and that Cori and Matt had been busy hand crafting most of the details themselves. When the big day arrived, I was blown away by everything they had done! Surrounded by such a fun group of family and friends, Cori and Matt (who both looked stunning!) said “I do” amongst the tall pine trees in Berkeley’s majestic Tilden Park. The rest of the evening, they danced the night away inside the park’s gorgeous the Brazilian Room. All of the hard work they had put in showed how creative they both are and everything blended perfectly with the beautiful setting they had chosen. The entire day was filled with so much endless love and laughter and we were so happy to be there to help capture it!
I first met Tracy at a photo shoot and her warm, laid back demeanor made me instantly like her. The next time I saw her, she and her husband Gabe were expecting their first child, so you can imagine how excited I was when she asked me to document this important milestone in their lives! About a month before Baby Sage was born, we met in San Francisco for a mini-maternity session. We chose Golden Gate Park as our backdrop, as both of them grew up in Northern California and a love of the Bay Area’s natural beauty is something they share. This photo shoot could not have been more fun! These two were the perfect combination of both adoring and silly together, which made me even more excited for the newborn shoot we had scheduling for just a few weeks later. For this one, we met at Tracy’s mom’s home and Baby Sage was absolutely perfect! I could tell right away how over the moon these first time parents were for their sweet baby boy and these few quiet hours that I got to spend with this new family were so special. Thank you Tracy and Gabe for allowing me to capture these precious moments for you – what an honor!
This wedding was hands down one of my favorite ones of all time, and I think it was a combination of so many things that puts it up there for me. First, Courtney and Kevin were not only adorable together, but they were also SO much fun! I literally felt like I had a “permagrin” all day from just being around them both. Second, let’s talk about the gorgeous setting and details! Silverado Resort is one of the most stunning places to shoot at, and the amazing decor put together by Joannie Liss Events was unparalleled. I particularly loved the navy and cream color scheme paired against the vibrant green backdrop of Napa Valley. The couple was married under a beautiful tall chuppah surrounded by the gorgeous trees at The Grove, a majestic spot nestled in the middle of the golf course. One moment in particular that I really loved, was when the bridal party (much to the surprise of the bride and groom) held up a canopy of flags from the couple’s home countries for their first walk down the aisle as husband and wife. The reception took place in the resort’s main dining room where the guests dined under candlelight and danced the night away to the incredible band. Sometimes that late night drive back to SF after a wedding miles from home can be exhausting, however, on this particular night my assistant and I spent the whole ride home gabbing away about what a great day it was!
